Hometown:
  • Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and has lived in and traveled to numerous places in the U.S. and world.
Family Information:
  • His parents were Charles B. and Ann L. Hudson; the youngest of four children (two boys and two girls.)
Interests:
  • Computers, cosmology, reading novels and magazines, biking, gardening, and construction.

Nuclear Weapons Facility:

National Institute of Standards & Technology:
  • Technical evaluator and program assessor for the National Institute of Standards & Technology in the U.S. dosimeter assessment program.
     
ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE
Auburn University:
  • Taught physics courses after obtaining Ph.D. degree and continued research into nuclear reactions.
University of Michigan:
  • Assistant Professor, while also serving as Assistant Director for a Nuclear Regulatory Commission funded study of dosimeter processing throughout the U.S.
     
  • Directed M.S. and Ph.D. candidates in radiation physics research and nuclear programs.

Northwest-Shoals Community College:
  • Taught courses in mathematics and served as project manager on grants from the U. S. Department of Education and the National Science Foundation.  Grants involved technology integration into college classrooms and scholarships for students pursuing computer science, engineering, and mathematics careers.
